Assessments

At Your Therapy SA, we offer a comprehensive range of assessments to meet the varied needs of our clients, focusing on identifying strengths and areas for development to tailor our therapy services effectively.

Our assessments include:

  • Standardised Assessments: We use standardised assessments such as the Vineland Adaptive Behaviour Scales (Vineland), the Adaptive Behaviour Assessment System (ABAS), and the Paediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory Computer Adaptive Test (Pedi-CAT) to evaluate a wide range of skills and abilities.

  • Sensory Profile: To diagnose sensory differences, we can administer a Sensory Profile, helping to understand how sensory processing may affect daily functioning.

  • Gross and Fine Motor Assessments: We conduct assessments like the Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Second Edition (BOT-2) or the Revised Edition of the Alberta Infant Motor Scale (REAL), and the Movement Assessment Battery for Children (Movement ABC) to diagnose developmental delays and inform early intervention strategies.

  •  NDIS Assessments: We are equipped to perform assessments such as the World Health Organisation Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS), Life Skills Profile, Barthel Index and the CAN assessment to access National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) support.

  • Physiotherapy Assessments: Our physiotherapists conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate falls risk, physical mobility, strength, balance, and coordination. We can also conduct assessments to design comprehensive transfer and positioning care plans and training.

  • Occupational Therapy Assessments: Occupational therapists at Your Therapy SA assess functional abilities and challenges in daily living tasks, providing insights needed to develop personalised therapy plans.

These assessments are crucial in creating effective, personalised therapy programs and support plans, ensuring that each client receives the most appropriate interventions to meet their individual needs and goals.
