Working at Your Therapy SA, Lara can directly impact the lives of individuals and families by providing personalised support that fosters independence, self-confidence, and social inclusion. Lara can develop and implement behaviour support plans, conduct assessments, and provide training and resources to families and caregivers. Lara's neuro-affirmative approach is particularly noteworthy. This perspective respects and values neurodiversity, recognizing the strengths and potential of individuals with neurological differences. Instead of attempting to 'correct' behaviours based on a normative standard, a neuro-affirmative approach seeks to understand behaviours within the context of everyone's unique experiences, environment, and neurological makeup. This understanding allows for developing strategies that leverage the individual's strengths, promote positive outcomes, and foster a sense of belonging and acceptance.

Senior Developmental Educator

Tess is a dedicated and person-centred senior Developmental Educator with over 6 years of experience working with clients who have complex physical and behavioural needs. With a bachelor's degree in Disability and Developmental Education, Tess has a keen interest in developing independent living skills and behavioural management strategies. Her goal is to further enhance her knowledge and experience within a diverse team of Allied Health Professionals. In her role, Tess has deepened her understanding of the NDIS, therapy services, and early intervention strategies. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, she has contributed to the provision of Developmental Education Therapy focusing on independence skills, behaviour management, and self-advocacy for individuals living with disabilities.

Registered Nurse

Melanie is an experienced registered nurse who specialises in conducting comprehensive health assessments and providing comprehensive care plans, which she regularly reviews and adapts to evolving needs. Proficient in managing diverse health areas such as continence, wound care, diabetes, and complex disability management, including PEG and bowel care, Melanie coordinates effectively with medical and allied health teams, ensuring cohesive, client-centred care. Her expertise also spans medication management and coordinating vital health appointments, providing a thorough, supportive healthcare experience.

Our clinic boasts welcoming therapy rooms designed to foster comfort and relaxation. Located at Shop 63 Level 1, 119 Belair Road, upstairs in Mitcham Square, we're just across from the movies, making us a convenient destination for your therapy needs.

With ample parking available, accessing quality care has never been easier. Experience compassionate support and effective therapy in a convenient location.

Our Fees

 

Your Therapy SA works with clients who are self-funded, or those who are eligible for funding from NDIS, Medicare and Private Health insurance. Our fees align with the NDIS price guide and limits, and are part of our commitment to providing transparent, standardised billing for all our services.

Therapy Costs

Fees are charged per hour:

  • Physiotherapy: $224.62  

  • Occupational Therapy: $193.99

  • Developmental Education: $193.99 

  • Behaviour Support: $193.99

Consultations are generally 45-50 minutes long. The therapist’s time is billed for one hour, which includes documentation of clinical case notes and follow-up.

Functional Capacity Assessment

We generally charge 15 hours at the rate of $193.99 per hour  to complete a Functional Capacity Assessment. The total cost is $2909.85. 

The final cost of an FCA can vary based on several factors, including the complexity of the assessment required, the specific professionals involved, and the duration of the assessment. Our team provides transparent and fair pricing that reflects the personalised care and expertise we offer.

Provider Travel

We are a mobile service, and our therapists can attend your homes to deliver services. We also have a clinic in Mitcham. This means that you can choose to attend our clinic, or have therapist come to your home. If you choose to attend the clinics, there will be no travel cost charged to you.

We include the agreed charges and supports and services in your service agreement.

Billing Details

When you use our services, we adhere to the NDIS price guide for billing in four specific areas:

  1. Direct services (face to face) – This includes services like assessments, meetings, therapy sessions, and training.

  2. Indirect services (non-face to face and reporting) – Activities such as writing reports, developing programs, making phone calls, telehealth sessions, email communication, and session planning fall under this category.

  3. Provider Travel – We bill for the time involved in travelling to in-home appointments.

  4. Late cancellations – If an appointment is cancelled with less than two business days' notice, you will be charged the full cost of the appointment, including travel. 

Reports

Progress reports are required for purposes like a NDIS plan review. They typically take between 4 to 6 hours to complete. 

Term reports typically take 1 to 2 hours to complete.

Reports will be charged on an individual basis depending on how long they take to write.

For example, a 4 hour progress report would be calculated as $193.99 x 4 hours with a total cost of $775.96

NDIS

Your Therapy SA is a registered NDIS provider, and we offer services to participants with NDIS funding. We work with clients who have NDIA-managed, Plan-managed, and Self-Managed plans. Here’s a breakdown of how our services is billed under each type of plan:

  1. NDIA-Managed Plans: If your NDIS funding is managed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), we will bill our services directly to the NDIS. There are no out-of-pocket or gap fees for services approved in your plan. 

  2. Plan-Managed Plans: If your NDIS funding is managed by a Plan Manager, we will bill our services directly to the Plan Manager. There are no out-of-pocket or gap fees for services approved in your plan.

  3. Self-Managed Plans: If you manage your own NDIS funding (Self-Managed), we will bill our services directly to you or your nominated representative. You will be able to claim reimbursement for these services through the NDIS, if they are in line with your approved plan.

Medicare: Chronic Disease Management Plans

The Chronic Disease Management program currently offers a rebate of $58.30 for home visits, clinic appointments and telehealth appointments. (Applicable to Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy). A referral and a Chronic Disease Management Plan from your GP are required to claim a Medicare rebate under Chronic Disease Management. You are entitled to 5 allied health sessions annually under this program if eligible.

The Better Access to Mental Health (for Occupational Therapy services) program currently offers a rebate of $105.55 for home visits or $81.90 for both clinic and telehealth appointments. A referral is required from your GP or Psychiatrist to claim a Medicare rebate under Better Access to Mental Health. You are entitled to claim a rebate for up to 10 focused psychological consultations if eligible.

Private Health Rebates

Many private health funds offer rebates for Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, home visits, and group sessions under ancillary cover. Please check with your health fund to see if you are eligible.
